| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study is to find the impoliteness strategy contained in netizens’ comments, to categorize netizens’ comments with hate speech type and to find out the dominant of impoliteness strategy and the dominant type of hate speech contained in netizens’ comments. This research was conducted with a descriptive qualitative design. The data from this study were taken from one hundred comments contained in an Instagram public figure social media account named Lucinta Luna. Data is taken from the posting on February 10th to February 19th , 2020. The collected data will analysed using the Culpeper impoliteness strategy theory and also categorized into hate speech types according to the Indonesian republican police circular. In this study the writer namely indicate that there are four types of impoliteness strategies found in the comments namely bald on record, positive impoliteness, negative impoliteness and sarcasm. The most dominant impoliteness strategy found is posistive impoliteness. While for the types of hate speech there are four types found, namely insult, defamation, unpleasant acts, provoke and incitement. And for the most dominant type of hate speech found is insult. | en_US |
