dc.description.abstractIntroduction: Malaria is a disease that is still a health problem in Indonesia, especially in Asahan Regency, which is an endemic area in North Sumatra Province. This disease is influenced by a number of various factors, such as the physical condition of the house and the environment around the house which are thought to influence the spread of malaria. Objective: To determine the relationship between the physical condition of the house and the environment around the house with suspected malaria in Kisaran Timur District, Asahan Regency in 2024. Method: This research uses an observational analytical method with a cross- sectional design. The research sample consisted of 200 respondents taken using cluster sampling techniques, and data analysis used the Chi-Square test. Results: Most of the people in Kisaran Timur District, Asahan Regency, there were 105 respondents (52.5%) who had poor physical conditions at home and experienced signs of malaria. Most of the people in Kisaran Timur District, Asahan Regency, there are 86 respondents (43%) who have poor environmental conditions around their homes and experience signs of malaria. Conclusion: The physical condition of the house has an influence on suspected malaria, while the environment around the house does not show a significant relationship.en_US
